Wave for 3G review
The Griffin Wave comprises two interlocking sections of shatterproof polycarbonate with a slide-in, non-adhesive screen cover. The rear section enjoys a slight rubbery feel which we found ourselves stroking a bit.
Meanwhile, the tougher, rigid plastic of the front section provides greater protection for the corners.
Due to the interlocking design, the Wave isn’t an easy on/off case so dock users should look elsewhere.
The cover is sturdy, well-made, and should protect the iPhone if you drop it. Although it doesn’t attract dust like a silicon case, over time, some debris can work its way behind the screen.
Our advice for those seeking the ultimate protection would be to ditch the included screen cover and instead use a traditional screen protector with the polycarbonate shell of the Wave.
