Be-ez (pronounced "be easy") is one of hundreds of laptop backpack manufacturers. As with all the others, it wants to be a little bit different. At first glance, I thought: wow, that's different - a nylon flimsy bag. But on closer examination I realised that the flimsyness is actually a selling point rather than a drawback.
It's light, and the walls of the bag are thin, but sandwiched in the material is a special kind of foam. This foam gives shock protection, but without adding bulk to the bag. Sure, it's still nylon, but that just makes it water resistant.
When I first got the bag it was squashed flat, stiff and pretty uninspiring looking. But once it was filled with stuff it gained a little more character. There are just enough handy pockets for PDAs and iPods, but not too many that you lose things. The black and bright orange styling is modestly shouting cool. There are versions that are designed to hold 12-inch or 15-inch PowerBooks.
