Double Charge laptop bag
Crumpler’s enthusiastic marketing on the website, which features a machine-gun-toting women riding a pig, certainly gives it a distinctive presence. But in the end it’s about the bag, and, unfortunately, the Double Charge disappoints.
On the plus side, this messenger-style bag offers plenty of space for your MacBook, mobile, iPod, and spare underwear, with space left over for lunch and a paperback or two. The bag within a bag design, with an extra sleeve for your laptop, should keep everything safe. However, in use it feels overcomplicated with too many sleeves, pockets, zips and Velcro straps – which means that getting a MacBook into and out of this bag takes longer than it should.
The Double charge is unfeasibly heavy and the styling is pretty mundane and average. It’s hard to see how the price, which is twice that of the be.ez and the Pakuma, can be justified.
