Kensington PilotBoard Laser Wireless Desktop Review
Kensington’s new PilotBoard keyboard and mouse set proved to be a pleasant surprise. The keyboard is neatly designed in black and silver, and has a comfortable padded wrist-rest running along the front edge. It’s also packed with extra keys and controls.
The Function keys are pre-programmed to work with programs such as Microsoft Word, and can perform tasks such as printing a document or running a spell-check. There are also two sets of additional keys for you to play with. The keys on the left-hand edge of the keyboard allow you to control iTunes, and also to scroll in any direction through large documents or digital photos. Over on the right-hand side of the keyboard another set of keys is dedicated to internet tasks, such as launching your browser or performing a Google search.
The PilotBoard is certainly capable - it's only disappointment is that the PilotBoard doesn't give you as much freedom to reprogram the function keys as the rival Microsoft offering.
