Proporta Shine Case review

Convergence is key these days, and Proporta’s Shine Case combines the wondrousness of your iPod nano with the practicality of a portable mirror.

OK so it’s not convergence in the cameraphone sense, it’s still a handy addition to your iPod. Or it would be, if everything didn’t appear comically elongated in the mirror. It’s fine for checking you don’t have leftover Nando’s in your front teeth, but it’s probably not good enough for precision eyeliner application.

Aside from this gripe, the Shine serves its purpose well.

OUR VERDICT

The material is a little tacky – it’s made from patent leather, but is shiny to the point that it looks like plastic. You can get it in black, red or ‘limited edition’ blue. The fit is snug, the protection is adequate, just don’t be shocked if the reflection makes you look like Peter Crouch.
