Cordless Optical Trackman review
More rat than mouse, the Logitech Cordless Optical Trackman is a big, beefy alternative to traditional mice. Built with comfort in mind, the ergonomic design feels more like a bed on which to lay the palm of your hand.
It’s a feeling, along with the lizard eye optical trackball, scroll wheel and various buttons, that takes a significant time to master. Your patience, however, will be rewarded. The more time invested, the more the Trackman feels natural and intuitive, with real potential to relieve RSI symptoms.
Although it has a rather nice tactile finish, the styling is not the best we’ve seen, and it would benefit from a bit of a makeover, especially the position of the buttons. The Trackman requires a slightly ugly wireless base unit to work, although such is the exceptional range, you can easily hide this away behind your Mac or elsewhere.
