Flash Voyager 64GB review
Corsair’s 64GB Voyager memory stick is very much designed with durability in mind. It’s quite a bit larger than any of the other memory sticks reviewed here, but that’s because it’s wrapped up in a tough, water-resistant rubber casing that will protect it from getting damaged when you’re on the move.
Corsair provides a full 10-year warranty as a sign of its confidence in the Voyager’s rugged construction. The company says it’s even survived being boiled – though we wouldn’t advise trying that with any important files stored on it.
The Voyager is small enough to slip into a pocket when you’re travelling but Corsair also throws in a wrist-strap, keyring attachment, extension cable, and a little carrying pouch too.
It’s a bit slower than its rivals, though, and took just over half an hour to back up our 10GB batch of test files, compared to an average of around 20 minutes. However, it’s a good choice if you want a solidly built back-up device that can withstand a bit of rough treatment when you’re on the road.
